Recycle or reuse any tissue paper packaging surrounding your candle
Find a suitable position to place your candle, away from drafts, soft furnishings and young children/pets
Remove lid and place somewhere safe
Light wick
Leave candle to burn (do not leave unattended) for a min of 2 hours and a max of 4 hours - the wax pool should have reached the edge of the container and be abouyt 1/4 of an inch deep, like this:
Once the wax pool has reached the edge of the container, you can extiguish the flame (the safest way to do this is by replacing the lid of the candle) - if you decide to blow out the flame, please take care as the melted wax can spray if blown too hard
If your candle has a cotton wick, you should trim the wick to 1/4 of an inch approx. before the next burn. This will ensure the wick does not mushroom or cause the flame to get too big and cause the candle to overheat which will damage the wax and burn off the fragrance too quickly
What's the best way to refill the candle please? I've tried filling the jar with boiling water but there's still some residue (plus the beads of amber get stuck in the wax)?
